 our schedules have been so way off lately. but even though we haven't had a chance to have that talk, i'm sure it'll happen sooner or later. enjoy your slumber parties... it'll keep you busy and smiling.
This reminds me of my first night at your place, when sleep was relatively not an option. I did enjoy that chat---- wish we can have more of it again.
it took me 5 days to recover from that trip.... but it was soo worth it!! still missing you!!!  I'm sure we will have that long overdue chat again sometime soon. You take care and miss you too. |

I had a fantastic weekend. Kung kelan pa ko tumanda, tsaka pa ko nakatikim ng slumber party with my girlfriends. They organized this thing to give me some distraction. This is actually the second weekend that we did this but I never realized sleepovers are so much fun, stayed up til 6:30 am....pero pag tumatanda ang hirap bumawi ng tulog...haaaaay! our schedules have been so way off lately. but even though we haven't had a chance to have that talk, i'm sure it'll happen sooner or later. enjoy your slumber parties... it'll keep you busy and smiling.

How are you? I always think about you and your children and always include your family in my prayers lalo na si Roman. Thank you for always dropping by to view my postings. I feel your presence even if we don't always communicate.

One friend came to visit me and said "I don't know what to say because I'm afraid that if I say the wrong thing it might offend you."....and I told her "You don't have to say anything. I'm happy that you're here sitting beside me, touching my hand, and hugging me...that's all I need"....and then we just cried together and it was the most special time I ever had with her. You can't buy moments like that.
So that's what I feel too when I see you visiting me here. And then I visit your site sometimes. We don't even need to write anything sometimes.

BTW i saw little Sarah run up to you, hugged you and asked "are you ok?" What a wonderful gesture from someone who seems to be the youngest in the crowd. I suppose she has a lot of Mom's magic!!!!! :)
Thanks Ted...I was in a fog that night and can't even remember Sarah came up to me 'coz she does that all the time. But I remember all you Arki folks surrounding me and holding me while I was sitting inside the main sanctuary after the service....and I remember smiling while dining with you guys at the courtyard outside. Just being in the company of authentic people make me realize that I am indeed blessed with real friends who are there not just when the sun is bright but esp. when the sky is gray. |

How are you and your family coping? I do hope everybody's well and on the road to healing. Just want to inform you that a remembrance mass will be offered to your loving son Roman ('Alecy' as I've known him when he was a young boy...) This will take place in our parish, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Windsor, Ontario on Sep. 09, 2008 at 6:30 pm. Let's all pray for the repose of Roman's soul so Perpetual light will shine upon him...

Grace Grace, thanks for the long distance calls although I have yet to return your calls. Thanks for offering the mass for Alecy (as how we used to call him when he was a young boy). I'll send you photos of our La Consolacion high school classmates. They flew all the way here to OC just to be with me for one day...I am really amazed by the support! The Consolinians also organized a mini-reunion to be with me last weekend. We visited Roman's site and held a mini-memorial at the house honoring Roman and watching his video montages. |

Tach, when your eyes met mine and when you gave me a hug that night, it already gave me comfort. You made it so real by telling me that "it's going to be a rough & tough road ahead". You didn't try to sugar-coat it. You acknowledged the pain which is what I really want to hear. But seeing you now years after you lost your own son, gives me encouragement that the days will get better....and that his memories will someday not be just painful but will also warm my heart. Thanks so much Tach....for the support. |
